Hey lovers hope you enjoyed your weekend? Well, mine was a bit of rough and smooth!

Rough because I had excruciating ulcer pain after eating highly spiced noodles on Friday and I was in pain for hours even after taking medicines (IV, injections and oral).

After being relieved of the pain, I decided to find a natural remedy and cure for ulcer so I found something awesome!

Can you guess? Maybe/Maybe Not!

It is BANANA…. (Did you say huh?)

Yes, Banana… Who doesn’t eat banana? I mean almost everyone worldwide eats banana (it is a common fruit).


Bananas contain high potassium, magnesium & manganese, fiber, vitamins B6 and C, and folate. One medium banana contains about 100 calories. They also contain an enzyme that helps inhibit the growth of the bacteria that causes ulcers (Helicobacter Pylori).


Bananas are like natural antacid, which helps to protect the lining of the stomach against ulcer development

Leucocyanidin (a component of banana) : increases the thickness of the mucous membrane of the stomach, adding additional protection against potential damage caused by ulcers.

The sitoindosides in dried, unripe bananas increase mucus in the digestive tract, which provides a strong protective coating to help prevent and heal ulcers. Unripe bananas also promote cell growth in the intestinal tract. And bananas contain water-soluble polysaccharides, the same compounds found in the anti-ulcer prescription drug Carafate.


  • EAT RIPE BANANAs: eating at least 3 medium bananas a day helps to relieve ulcer pain
  • EAT BANANAS WITH OTHER NON-ACIDIC FOOD/FRUIT: such as carrots, mango, pawpaw, oatmeal, vegetables etc. Avoid eating acidic foods/fruits such as Orange, grapes, lime, berries etc
  • DRINK BANANA POWDER: Dried Unripe bananas  contain sitoindosides which helps to increase mucus that lines and protect the lining of the  digestive tract, which in turn helps to prevent and heal ulcers powder. To use this, dry unripe banana (maybe in the oven/microwave/sun), then grind, mix with honey and drink (probably 3 times a day).
