Hello friends, happy new month (it’s my first post in the month). The Lord will grant us our heart desires before the year runs out!

I really got lots of mail about my previous posts in October and I found out that almost everyone set targets but are yet to meet their targets.

Nonetheless, I have a message for you today but first what is on your mind?

The mind according to WIKIPEDIA is a set of cognitive faculties including consciousness, perception, thinking, judgment, and memory.

It is usually defined as the faculty of an entity’s thoughts and consciousness. It holds the power of imagination, recognition, and appreciation, and is responsible for processing feelings and emotions, resulting in attitudes and actions.

Immediately someone wished me happy new month, I started counting my gains/losses, successes/failures and my times of pain/peace… the list is endless! I know I am not the only one having that kind of thought but in the midst of it God’s word ministered to me and I decided to share with you!

You can do/achieve anything if you set your mind on it but most times our mind is set only on material things which are even temporal and when we are unable to achieve those things or meet our earthly targets we get angry/sad/disappointed. Meanwhile, the scripture said “For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”(Romans 8:6)

The above scripture started making a whole lot of sense to me when I saw a lot of my clients struggling to meet target while they are dying gradually ( trying to meet target at work, get promotions and allowances)… they set their mind on flesh but medically death seems to be knocking on their doors. Whereas, if we set our mind on basically on the things of God (spirit), we have assurance of PEACE and LIFE! What more is important than life itself?  NOTHING!

Setting our mind on the things of God will not only give us LIFE and PEACE but also every other things shall be an additional advantage according to Matthew 6:33 ‘’but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you’’.

The remaining days of the year can still be productive if only we will set our mind on God (Spirit) and seek His will consistently. After all, we as human can only set goals only God can bring them to pass/accomplishment according to Proverbs 19:21, “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” So as we align our hearts and minds with the Lord, then our purpose on earth will not only be clear but successful.

Time has not gone yet, this year can still be productive and if not clear your mind and prepare it for a greater 2018…

Lots of love,

Adenike Oladimeji.
